Aims

  • To assess the burden of non communicable diseases in rural India that directly translates into improved health by adopting model villages and doing long term follow up
  • To determine the prevalence of Diabetes, Hypertension, Renal impairment, Liver cirrhosis and atherosclerosis in a Nallampatti, Erode (D.t).
  • To explore novel pathophysiological links between environmental disruptors (Ex. Pesticides, heavy metals, air pollution and others) and prevalent diabetes, hypertension and other cardiovascular markers.
